Yellow Color Home Decorating

Color is one of the most important elements of the interior design that is considered to impact people's mood and working capacity. There's no color that is more sunny than yellow. It is light, airy, cheerful, positive and energizing. According to Feng Shui all shades of yellow symbolize the eternity and majesty. And historically this color is associated with wealth and gold.

When choosing an appropriate color-grade it's necessary to consider the purpose of each room. The yellow color solution is ideal for styling a nursery, as it should be filled with joyful atmosphere that stimulates life-sustaining activities. Those areas with the lack of daylight like corridors or rooms overlooking the north can be decorated with yellow walls or yellow curtains that can visually correct this deficiency and compensate the scarcity of sunlight.

When designing the interior with sunny colors the fact that oversaturation of bright yellow can be annoying should be taken into account, that's why it's better to combine yellow with other colors. For example, it can be well diluted with white, dark purple, grey, brown and green colors. Saturated colors should be used reasonably in order not to tire the psyche of people.

Sand, which refers to the yellow grade, is versatile and pleasant to the eye, easy in decoration and mostly suitable for a bedroom, kitchen and a living room design.

Cream colors are also very popular among designers; they create a feeling of warmth, comfort and elegance. Cream shades of yellow are often used in a bedroom, living room, bathroom and nursery design. Kitchen is the most appropriate area for yellow color, since yellow awakens the appetite, and this effect is very important especially for families with children.  The combinations of yellow, orange and green in the kitchen will contribute to the funny and relaxed mood.

It's not recommended to use saturated yellow color in the bathroom as it may cause unpleasant feeling of dizziness. Instead the bathroom can be elegantly decorated with some yellow accessories.
