Melanie Paxson is a star known for her role in the comedy series 'Notes From the Underbelly.' This ABC series directed by Eric Tannenbaum and Barry Sonnenefeld is aired every Wednesday and enjoys wide popularity. It is an ensemble about maintaining relations with family and pregnancy. But here we are going to talk not about "Notes From the Underbelly" or Melaine's successful campaigns like 'Glad's Voice of Reason,' but about her home decor.

Melanie, her husband Andy and their 2 dogs live in the glossy cottage in Los Angeles. Her home is a shining example of her preferences in interior decor. Melanie likes different styles. She finds Kelly Wearstler, Kenneth Olson and Kenneth Brown to be amazing designers. If you would see pictures of her home decor you would understand her home decor is influenced by works of these designers.

She successfully combined two absolutely different styles and called the style of her house 'glossy cottage.' She buys original things such as pieces from Everything Home L.A. and makes lots of decorative elements herself. For example, she has just reworked the style of her library. She has bought decorative paper featuring a vintage feel and covered all books. She said it eliminated all the various titles and covers, and left a clean look.

She also uses her favorite decorative items such as orchids and other flowers. But when she was asked what her favorite decorative piece was, she answered it was her blue Chester couch. If you are lucky to see this amazing coach from Mitchell Gold, you will want to have the same for sure!

Right now the color of her decor is French blue, but Melanie also likes green, red, gray and pink. While the focal points of her dining room are turquoise drapes and walls, the kitchen features greenish-gray walls.

As Melanie Paxson said her color palette could be represented by 'Marie Antoinette' by Sofia Coppola. Without doubt, working with such excellent designers as Victoria Lusting and Andrea Finn, Melanie Paxson succeeded in creating glamorous and unique decor.
