We always lack space in our homes to store our things. When we open the doors of our closet, we realize there is everything there we want to be out of our sight and all our things are in a mess. There are only a few people who can say it is not about them. In fact, our closet become "catch-all". We lack space to store all our clothes and items. That is why, a lot of us think how to maximize closet storage. As adding extra storage can cost a lot of money, the first step we should take is to throw away all things of naught and revamp our closets. Let us look into your closet. Do you really need all this stuff?

May be something is stored in the wrong place. If some things or clothes are quite good, you can donate them or sell. In such a way you will kill two birds with one stone. We will get extra space and earn money. Then you should evaluate closet in your bedroom. Do they have only one long shelf? It would be great to make more shelves in it.

Then let's look at the walls. If there is only one shelf there, you can turn it into a series of the shelves stretching right to the ceiling. Then on each portion of the closet we can install double-deck rods for short items and special modules with boot shelves or drawers. Boot shelves should be on the bottom of the closet.

What else can you do? Let's think. May be it is worth to store small things in the bins. You may leave these small bins in the closet or put them in the bathroom. Having a few closets in our home, you can designate each of them for different things. For example, in one closet you may store coats and jackets. The other closet can be used for out-of-season clothes, etc.
