Mold-Free House Keeping Advice

If mold grows in your bathroom or kitchen and you don’t know how to get rid of it, try to use white vinegar. It is the easiest and the most effective way to keep your house mold-free. Spray it on the places where mold grows including shower curtains, drain boards, sealing under faucets, dish drainers, edges of linoleum or tile floor joints. First, scrub the place with a soapy scrub brush, then rinse it off with dry cloth and spray with vinegar. Allow vinegar to dry.
Apart from vinegar, you can use glass cleaners containing plant-based alcohol. Mold also can be removed with dish detergents. There are special mold killing cleaners and mold soaps, but honestly speaking vinegar is able to substitute any of them and it is absolutely natural. You can use vinegar to get rid of mold inside of your washing machine. Run it through the wash cycle and it will be as good as new!
The kitchen and the bathroom are the perfect places for mold to grow, because of moisture, dark places and food remnants. Mold likes wet places, so try to air your bathroom and kitchen as often as it is possible. Buy an atmospheric moisture meter to control humidity. Your home should be kept between 30-50% RH. In cold months use an air dehumidifier, but only in cases if air in your room is humid. Ionizing air filters remove spores of mold, but they should be kept clean all time.
If there is mold on carpets, sprinkle soda on them and vacuum in an hour. Do it regularly. If this method doesn’t work, it is time to buy a new carpet!
