After Party Cleaning Tips

Planning a huge party, no one actually thinks about what happens to the house after the party is over. Chances are nobody will be happy to see this. A real disaster in your house means that the party had a success, and everybody had fun, but when it ended all of the guests suddenly disappeared, leaving you face to face with the huge mess and plenty of garbage. That moment you think that a small party for few close friends would be a better idea.

To avoid such unpleasant things in the future, first of all you have to think about how you can spare yourself from cleaning such a mess or at least do this fast and easily. When making a list of products for your party, don’t forget about garbage bags, spot remover, different detergents and paper wipes. Place garbage baskets and paper wipes all over the apartment or house, especially in the places that might get overcrowded (near the couch, the tables, bar or somewhere in the backyard). Garbage cans all over the party place will stimulate the invited guests to throw the trash into the cans rather than anywhere they want. Remember, the more you’re prepared for the party the less cleaning you’ll have to do.

When it comes directly to cleaning, start gathering all the trash into garbage bags. You can use bags of two or three colors to separate different kinds of garbage, for example one for the recycled stuff, second for paper and plastic trash, and third for glass bottles. Gather the whole trash in one place (for example in the kitchen) – it always helps to decide what to do with all that. When the main part of the cleaning is done, check your house thoroughly, looking at hard-to-get places and trying to find whether there is some spilled water or another garbage, you’ve missed at first. Dry out the spilled liquids from the tables, floor and other surfaces, using paper wipes or napkins. Then it’s time to use your removers and detergents to get rid of ugly stains on the carpets, couch, mirrors and other pieces of furniture.

When everything around the house is clean, start washing the dishes and doing something with the kitchen mess.
