Lighting Role In The Bathroom Design

Regardless of the size of our bathroom we spend a lot of time here. Modern designers consider it should be the brightest place in our house. A lot of bathrooms have a small window, but it is not enough. There are three basic principles of lighting – the ceiling, the average level and the floor. Successful design depends on the positioning of the lamps. The most bathrooms have only one lamp on the ceiling. It is effective only for small bathrooms. If the bathroom is large, you need at least a few lamps. You should not use big lamps.
The more lamps you use, the less size and power should be. Small halogen lamps with adjustable angle of lighting are perfect for this purpose. If your bathroom has a high ceiling, you can use a reflected light beam. Bathroom needs zoning as any room of your house. Even if your bathroom is small, you can use small lamps near a mirror, a sink or other functional areas. Sources of diffused illumination located symmetrically on each side of the mirror will not dazzle, but provide proper lightening. The lamps should not be reflected in your mirror.

To illuminate your mirror you can use various types of the lamps, but their spectrum should be close to the natural light. Floor decorative lighting will help you to create a special atmosphere in your bathroom. The special fixtures for illumination of garden paths will suit for the bathroom. Lamps used for floor lighting have not to be more powerful than 5 Watts. Play with the shows and make the bathroom unique!
